TUBOTECH: Pipe industry showcase takes place from October 3 to 5 at São Paulo Expo

Established as the most important trade fair in the Americas for the sector, the 9th Tubotech | International Trade Fair for Pipes, Valves, Pumps, Fittings and Components It will be held from October 3 to 5, 2017, at São Paulo Expo, in São Paulo. With free admission for professionals, the fair covers an extensive line of products: pipes, valves and fittings, machinery and equipment – machines for forming, cutting, bending, curving and general processing, and services – pipe bending, chemical treatments, galvanizing, welding, etc.

A Atomat Services Industrial brings Italian technology to TUBOTECH 2017. At the fair, the company will promote its products and services for the machining of rings, cylinders, and rolls for ERW tube-forming machines and for the metal rolling and wire drawing sectors. The company will bring

to showcase its broad portfolio of cemented carbide (tungsten carbide) rolls for small-diameter tubes – especially those requiring greater dimensional precision and better finish quality, increasing roll lifespan by up to 20X compared to traditional tool steel rolls. In addition, it will provide visitors with information on overhaul and maintenance services for wire rolling cassettes, including a test bench to calibrate the rings according to the requested gauge.

Founded in 2015, the Benco Steel is an independent distributor of steel products in Brazil, whose differential in its products and services is the use of the best management and production technologies. At Tubotech, it will feature its portfolio of cold-rolled, pre-painted, galvanized, and galvalume steels, as well as a complete line of metal tiles in trapezoidal and corrugated profiles.

Leader in the Brazilian market for the production of metal processing equipment (more than 200 lines) from coils, the Divimec will be exhibiting at the 9th edition of Tubotech. Founded in 1988, Divimec’s equipment processes more than 5 million metric tons of metal per year, serving 16 states in Brazil and several Latin American countries, including Mexico, Chile, Argentina, and Paraguay.

Specialized in the production of lines of quick couplers and hose fittings, the Funguap is participating in the 9th edition of Tubotech 2017 with the goal of increasing its market share in its sector and seeking new business opportunities. The company will focus on quick-connect couplings and fittings for industrial pipes, hoses, and flexible tubing, in addition to showcasing the DS-FUNGUAP dry-break coupling—the Dry Break and Dry Disconnect models.

Operating in the steelmaking, mining, chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas chain, road, maritime, and aviation transport segments, Funguap concentrates in its manufacturing area machining, testing laboratories, non-ferrous metal casting (copper and aluminum alloys), as well as ferrous metal investment casting (stainless steel, carbon steel, Inconel, and other special alloys)—a portfolio and production process that can be seen during the trade fair.

Founded in 1988, the GonPetro has a vast tradition in the oil & gas and shipbuilding markets. The company's new feature will be in the technology sector, a new portal that will allow the customer to track the sales order at each stage of the process. Among the products distributed by GonPetro are plates, bars, line pipes, pipe fittings, flanges, flowlines, valves, and seals, made of carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper-nickel.

This will be the first participation of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, a leading metrology and manufacturing solution company. Hexagon's solutions integrate sensors, software, domain knowledge, and customer workflows with intelligent information ecosystems that deliver actionable insights, automated business processes, and enhanced productivity.

At Tubotech, Hexagon will showcase two highlights: the TubeInspect P8, reference for 3D measurement of tubes and wires and the ROMER Absolute Arm 71 Series, a low-cost portable measuring arm, entry-level equipment of Hexagon Metrology's Absolute arm line.

A Inductotherm Group Brasil The highlight of the company’s exhibit at the trade show is the Thermatool Compact Welder CFE—a transistorized converter for longitudinal pipe welding—which, in addition to being compact, offers the unique advantages of simplified maintenance and easy operation, with power ratings ranging from 100 kW to 300 kW. Other featured products at the booth include complete induction systems for melting, heat treatment, forging, and tube welding, used in a wide range of applications within the metallurgical and metal processing industries.

A supplier of lubricants to Brazil's leading pipe manufacturers, the technology from Cation Raiden offers mineral, semi-synthetic, and synthetic fluids, formulated with imported raw materials and innovative technology on the domestic market.

Among the highlights in the portfolio, which will be presented at the fair, are products such as an additive capable of inhibiting oxidation in galvanized tubes, with technology developed in partnership with an American company. Also featured are neat protective oils for the protection of post-formed tubes, which deposit a film on the tubes that is compatible with the forming oil, thus ensuring a long period without oxidation in stock.

The brand also brings innovation to the METALPROT and BIOTECH lines. METALPROT AC is a soluble mineral oil that provides a stable, easily emulsifiable, milky-white emulsion free of nitrites. BIOTECH SX, on the other hand, is a synthetic soluble fluid that provides a translucent green solution that is stable and easily soluble. It is free of phenolic compounds and contains a white corrosion inhibitor.

During the trade show, visitors will also be able to learn about the training programs the company offers on lubricants, with the goal of preventing accidents and waste, optimizing handling, and enhancing specific knowledge of each product line.

A Polyfluor offers cutting-edge technology for the manufacturing of products such as molded bushings, guide tapes, hoses, films, sheets, pipes and fittings, and special parts for industries in various sectors. The company will participate as an exhibitor at the 9th edition of Tubotech and, on the occasion, will present its solutions developed through processing technologies of pure or filled TEFLON®.

Aimed primarily at the nondestructive testing market, the Polimeter is participating in Tubotech 2017 with the primary goal of strengthening relationships with customers and prospecting for new business. In Brazil, Polimeter is the exclusive representative of MAC—Magnetic Analysis Corporation (U.S.)—a leading supplier of eddy current testing systems and equipment for detecting defects in seamless and welded pipes.

Among the products offered at the trade fair will be the Echomac® Weld Line Tester, a device for defect detection in pipes manufactured by the ERW welding process. The system operates with Echomac test electronics and a test head containing ultrasound transducers with water-wedge shoes for continuous coupling with the tested pipe. The test head can operate either in-line or off-line. In addition, it has other functions: a warning alarm for any loss of coupling between the transducer and the pipe due to water loss or improper alignment, quick-change transducers for pipe size changeovers, and automatic marking of the defect location.

The news and releases from Segurimax, a company operating in the fire prevention segment, with solutions in the hydraulic, fire fighting, and CCTV systems lines, will be at the 9th edition of Tubotech.

Operating since 1987 in the iron and steel industry, the Sigma Steel processes and distributes flat steel from the country's main mills, aimed primarily at the civil construction sector, via resellers and industries. The company will be, for the first time, among the exhibitors at the 9th edition of Tubotech, presenting its product line consisting of welded carbon steel industrial tubes, ZC or Galvalume steel tiles, structural profiles, bent profiles, sheets, and other products derived from flat steel.
