The Brazilian fairs for tubes, wires, and cables confirm their leading positions in the South American market were opened on October 3 (Tuesday).
Amid a spirit of optimism and anticipation of strong business, the 9th Tubotech | International Trade Show for Pipes, Valves, Pumps, Fittings, and Components opened at the São Paulo Expo, in São Paulo, manufacturers of pipes, pumps, valves, raw materials, fittings, and accessories, as well as machinery and equipment; and the 3rd wire South America | International Wire and Cable Fair, which showcases the latest technologies, products, and services in the manufacture and processing of industrial wires and cables. Aimed at the industrial sector—which, from January through August of this year, grew by 1.5%, according to IBGE data—the trade shows are expected to attract 15,000 industry professionals.
In the presence of business leaders, exhibitors, authorities, and visitors, Marcus R. Müllers, senior project manager at Messe Düsseldorf, representing Daniel Ryfisch, deputy director of metals and flow technologies at Messe Düsseldorf, highlighted the importance of Brazil as an industrial player in Latin America. “We are happy with this cooperation with Cipa Fiera Milano to operate in the South American market. But this event would not be possible without the participation of the Brazilian industry and its representative associations, which gave us their full support. The presence of hundreds of companies from 28 countries demonstrates that manufacturers are prepared to face market challenges, and this makes us very satisfied.”.
Luciano Targiani, director of Tarcom Promoções, said that holding the trade fair within the current economic context is a major boost for the domestic industry. “Here there are opportunities for almost all industrial segments such as automotive, oil and gas, heavy industry, infrastructure, among others, which keep the wheels of the economy turning. We are optimistic that good business will be generated from this event.”.
Rimantas Sipas, commercial director of Cipa Fiera Milano, in turn, stated that the trade show is working to expand the Brazilian market and that, despite the crisis, expectations for generating business are good. “The fair is the showcase for the market, and visitors are its essence. We take care to offer the best in technology, products, and services on this platform, and we expect a positive outcome that primarily meets the expectations of our market.”.
Also present were Airi Zanini, president of the Brazilian Association of Surface Treatments – ABTS, and Paulo Castelo Branco, president of the Brazilian Association of Importers of Industrial Machinery and Equipment – ABIMEI. Recognized as the most important business trade shows in the Americas for their respective sectors, the events run until next Thursday, October 5th, with free admission for industry professionals.
