The editions of the trade fairs promoted by Cipa Fiera Milano are expected to welcome visitors from Latin American countries, Europe, and the USA.
São Paulo, September 2019 –Cipa Fiera Milano is holding, with the support of ABITAM (Brazilian Association of the Metal Pipe and Fitting Industry), next week, the 10th Tubotech – International Trade Fair for Tubes, Valves, Pumps, Fittings and Components and a 4th wire South America sole event in Latin America to bring together the latest technologies, products, and services in wire and cable manufacturing and processing. The events, the sectors' main showcases, take place concurrently between the days October 1 and 3 at the São Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, in São Paulo.
For Rimantas Sipas, commercial director of Cipa Fiera Milano, the solid partnership with Messe Düsseldorf in holding trade fairs is one of the reasons for the success achieved in Brazil. “And this year's editions of Tubotech and wire South America are repeating the good results. So much so that there will be 20,000 square meters of exhibition space, with 500 exhibitors and more than 13,000 expected visitors,” said the executive
The two trade fairs attract the interest of professionals such as architects, consultants, controllers, engineers, machinery manufacturers and importers, industrial maintenance managers, and designers coming mainly from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Spain, the United States, India, Paraguay, Peru, Turkey, and Uruguay, in addition to all states in Brazil.
Abimei Island
Tubotech will feature the participation of Abimei (Brazilian Association of Industrial Machinery and Equipment Importers) for the first time. In addition to bringing some of its members to the trade fair, the organization will set up an island—offered by IPC Brasil, a company specializing in connections and valves—featuring technical content lectures and workshops. Important names in the sector will be present at these gatherings.
In addition to IPC Brasil, three other companies will be on Abimei Island: Genebre, Remadi, and PR2. Just like IPC Brasil, the first two specialize in connections and valves, and PR2 is a supplier of laser cutting and engraving equipment.
Positive scenario
Data from Abinee (Brazilian Electrical and Electronics Industry Association) reinforce the view that the country’s economic recovery is gaining momentum. Revenue for the electrical and electronics industry reached approximately R$1,461 billion in 2018, a nominal increase of 7% compared to 2017. According to Abinee, this result represents a real increase of 2%, after adjusting for inflation in the sector, which, according to the IBGE’s Producer Price Index (IPP), stood at around 5% last year.
The results, according to Abinee, show the great potential of the sector. Some segments that drive the wire and cable industry, represented in wire South America,According to the association, the following sectors stood out in 2018: Industrial Automation, which posted revenue of R$ 4.69 billion, 5% more than in 2017; Components, with R$ 11.11 billion, or 5% more; Installation Materials, R$ 7.54 bi, up 2%; Telecommunications, R$ 33.48 bi, up 5%; and GTD (Electric Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution), with R$ 17.77 billion, an increase of 9% compared to 2017.
The indicators reveal the importance of the wire and cable sector in the country. And the 4th edition of wire South America, the only event in Latin America to bring together the latest technologies, products, and services in wire and cable manufacturing and processing, is the opportunity for companies in this segment to get closer to local clients and buyers from other countries.
To satisfy the demands of this audience, companies are investing in modernization to meet Industry 4.0 (also known as the 4th industrial revolution), which encompasses the main technological innovations in the areas of automation, control, and information technology applied to manufacturing processes, and the wire and cable sector is a major supplier for the systems that will be implemented.
Therefore, this year,The wire's main focus will be the new digital tools available for companies to connect with an audience eager for information and to win new partners. Among the sectors present are wires and cables, machinery, equipment, and accessories, in addition to logistics and various services.
