Techshow

New import process flow proposal

With a long-standing presence in the air import sector, Célia Pinho, president and founder of ILS Cargo Group—a company specializing in aviation logistics—spoke during Techshow, a series of lectures held concurrently with Tubotech and wire, about the new import process flow proposal developed by the company.

According to Célia, the traditional workflow is functional, highly organized, and sometimes bureaucratic, which causes increased costs and delays in the clearance of the imported product. Therefore, she presented a proposal where all actors in the import process—from the manufacturer to the buyer—work together and exchange information.

“With everyone being informed at the same time, it is possible to anticipate steps, which ensures greater speed in customs clearance,” he explained. “With simultaneous visualization of the process, it is possible to know if the product has already been manufactured, allowing the company to prepare the paperwork and also the transport in advance. Even before the product arrives in Brazil, customs will already have the necessary information.”.

Célia also pointed out that this process will be even faster starting in 2020, when customs clearance will be done in the cloud.

Cutting discs, characteristics, and application in pipe cutting

Suitable for cutting tubes, bars, sheets, and other shapes, cutting discs are crucial for ensuring the quality and conformity of tubes. The statement was made by Ernesto D'Andrea, area sales manager of the Italian company Julia Utensili in Brazil, who spoke about “Cutting discs, characteristics, and application in tube cutting” at Techshow, which takes place during Tubotech and wire South America at São Paulo Expo.

According to D'Andrea, the discs are developed according to the demands of users who use varied materials to perform their activities, which is why there are several types of discs and it is essential to research and choose the correct disc. “Knowing how to choose the right equipment guarantees the quality of the work. Therefore, it is important to seek information and know exactly what is needed to perform the service.”.

The Brazilian 100% product is the highlight at Metalúrgica Costinha

At wire South America, which runs through Thursday (03) at the São Paulo Expo, Indústria Metalúrgica Costinha is showcasing its new CA60 ribbed wire rolling equipment, which offers greater ease of operation and faster production of rebar. A Brazilian 100% product.

According to Reinaldo Lopes, the company's project manager, the new cold system allows a maximum speed of 13 meters per second (m/s). “In the previous system, the speed ranged from 8 to 10 m/s. Now we have a variation from 10 to 14 m/s, which ensures greater production,” Lopes said. “Furthermore, with the new engineering, the machines have an easier-to-change cassette to alter the thickness of the wire being produced.”.

Reichenbach wire drawing machine delivers a 25% increase in production

A participant in wire South America since its first edition, Reichenbach is preparing new products for this year. The Brazilian company 100%, located in the city of Carapicuíba in the interior of São Paulo, brought its rebar drawing machine for copper and aluminum to the trade show. The machine is operational at the company’s booth, and according to Allan Werner Reichenbach, Development Manager, the equipment was entirely developed in-house. “From the software to the hardware, everything was created by our engineers,” he assures. “It’s superior to anything else available both in Brazil and abroad.” Allan states that the wire drawing machine’s multi-rotor system generates savings of approximately 25% compared to existing machines on the market and delivers 25% higher production. “In other words, in the same space, our equipment produces more and uses less electricity, which means it pays for itself in less than a year of operation.”.
