Thermoplastic replaces carbon steel in special piping

Latin American leader in the production of high-strength polyethylene pipes, FGS Brasil – Tubos e Conexões is developing, in partnership with DuPont, a special piping system for hydrocarbons and other aggressive fluids. This was one of the products presented by Renato Salomão, the company's commercial manager, during the lecture “Thermoplastic pipes for high pressure and temperature," in the technical lecture area of the Techshow, an event running parallel to the 10th Tubotech– International Fair of Tubes, Valves, Pumps, Fittings and Components and the wire South America, which end today at the São Paulo Expo. “It is a product that replaces carbon steel pipes, which suffer great wear and tear. And it also has the advantage of being a custom-made thermoplastic multilayer product, according to the customer's need.”.

Valve solutions for the construction, industrial, and commercial sectors

Genebre is present at Tubotech in a partnership with Abimei (Brazilian Association of Importers of Machines and Industrial Equipment) with its entire portfolio, which includes design, production, and commercialization for the construction (water and heating installations), industrial, and end-consumer sectors, featuring four business lines: plumbing, industrial, faucets, and instrumentation. At its booth, the public can check out the latest innovations in brass valves, solenoid valves, industrial valves, and water meters.

Four versions of circular saws

Located in the traditional São Paulo neighborhood of Mooca, GDV Ferramentas draws attention at its booth at Tubotech with a Starrett cutting machine that demonstrates its efficiency to visitors. According to Luiz Eduardo, from the company's sales department, the real news, however, is the line of HSS (High Speed Steel) circular saw blades. “The product is available in four versions: Neutral HSS blade, recommended for cutting non-ferrous materials and plastics; Vaporized HSS blade, for cutting ferrous materials on a small and medium industrial scale; TiN HSS blade, coated with Titanium Nitride, ideal for cutting ferrous materials on an industrial scale and with automatic equipment; and TiNAl HSS blade, coated with Titanium and Aluminum Nitride, for cutting ferrous materials on an industrial scale with automatic equipment and in situations of extreme wear.".

News in fire protection pipes and fittings

The new GIPP fire protection pipe and fitting line being showcased at Tubotech, which ends this Thursday at São Paulo Expo, is the result of a partnership between IPC Brasil and Chinese industries. The company is exhibiting the new product at the Abimei Island. According to Flávio Antônio Paiva, president of the company, the product was entirely developed in Brazil. “Even the brand was defined by us,” he guarantees. The choice of a Chinese manufacturer, Paiva explains, was to obtain a more affordable product. “The cost of production here would be higher.”.

Paiva points out that market research was conducted and identified that consumers were looking for a product that met certifications and had a more robust appearance. “And we were able to offer exactly what the customer wants,” he states.

Machines for different welding applications

With over seven years in the market, UEFA Comercial Ltda is showcasing at wire South America, which ends this Thursday (3), its line of cord welding machines, hot welding and annealing machines, cable testing machines, diameter gauges, and meter cutters produced in China.

According to Daniel Wethöfer, from the company's R&D department, UEFA's participation in wire aims to showcase the products in its portfolio. “The trade fair features highly qualified visitors, which aligns with our interests,” he said. “We also want to show that UEFA can serve the market and accept inquiries for the development of new products, raw materials, production processes, and consequently, maintain Brazil's exchange with potential global markets.”.

High technology and greater energy efficiency in multi-wire machines

Niehoff Gruppe, a German industry that has been in Brazil since the 1970s, is presenting its MMH101 Multiwire Horizontal Drawing Machine during wire South America. According to Renate Heying, a member of the company's board of directors, the equipment's key differentials include the final diameter achieved via a quick-change die system and a new three-motor drive system, which lowers noise levels by reducing slippage inside the machine, in addition to offering greater energy efficiency.
