Devices measure items such as thickness and wear of pipes and fittings
Instrutherm is participating this week, from the 3rd to the 5th, in São Paulo (SP), in the 9th Tubotech – International Trade Fair for Pipes, Valves, Pumps, Fittings, and Components, presenting various measuring equipment solutions for the sector. With 33 years in the market and a portfolio of over 500 items, the company is highlighting two devices at the event.
One of them is the ME-260, a device that measures the thickness of pipes and fittings, as well as material wear, without the need for disassembly. With units in millimeters or inches, the equipment indicates thicknesses of up to 200 mm in various materials, such as iron, steel, aluminum, copper, brass, PVC, polyethylene, among others.
The ME-260 is indicated for measuring hard materials, including steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, brass, zinc, quartz, glass, polyethylene, PVC, gray cast iron, and nodular cast iron, among others. Among other technical features, the device features an ultrasonic operating principle and sensor with an operating frequency of 5 MHz.
Instrutherm's other highlighted technological solution at Tubotech is the BOR-200 digital borescope, a meter that performs internal analysis of pipelines and hard-to-reach places, such as machines and engines. It features a waterproof camera for photos or video recording, in addition to an optional 5-meter-long flexible camera.
The borescope features a ¼” CMOS sensor, a maximum resolution of 640 x 480, a fixed focus method of 15cm~25cm, displays images in JPEG format – size 320 x 240, plays files in MPEG4, 3GP, AVI, and ASF, supports SD cards up to 8GB, has up to 8GB of flash memory, and allows data transmission via USB and SD card.
