From October 6th – 8th 2015, the industrial chain of the sector of pipes, valves, fittings and components met for the 8th Tubotech at the S\u00e3o Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. The trade show was held simultaneously with the 2nd Wire South America| International Wire and Cable Fair, and both events brought together over 550 exhibitors, in a 32,000 square meter area.<\/p>\n

Acknowledged as America\u2019s leading trade show for the sector and the world\u2019s second when it comes to the presence of foreign companies, the Tubotech | International Fair for Pipes, Valves, Pumps, Fittings and Components, and the Wire South America, the South American version of the world\u2019s largest cable and wire fair, the Wire D\u00fcsseldorf, welcomed a surprising number of visitors. Over three days, more than 11,000 highly qualified professionals visited the exhibition grounds, from the automotive, oil and gas, metal construction, furniture, mining, painting, and infrastructure fields.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese trade shows cover the supply chain of some leading sectors of the economy. We verified a significant amount of business volume, market integration, updating, and professional education. We witnessed the industry getting closer as a whole in order to make itself stronger in times of instability against the pessimism that prevails in the business sector as a whole. It is necessary to take actions and dare. We need to get out of the inertia, and the companies in the trade show did work and are confident that they will generate opportunities and demonstrate that the pipe and cable industry is strong, smart, and prepared to respond to the moment, while showing their potential. We did organize an event that surprised everyone in boosting business opportunities and creating a positive horizon\u201d, stated Luciano Targiani, Director of Tarcom Promo\u00e7\u00f5es, promoter of Tubotech along with Cipa Fiera Milano and ABITAM – Brazilian Association of Tubes and Metal Fittings Industry, the organizer of the event.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Rimantas Sipas, Cipa Fiera Milano Commercial Director, also pointed out that today\u2019s economic scenario has also brought new challenges to the event, which has been held since 2003. \u201cThe industry progress is connected to the country\u2019s growing process and also to its own ability to invest and innovate. Within this context, trade shows have a special and important role since they are business and knowledge platforms\u201d. Jos\u00e9 Adolfo Siqueira, Executive Director of ABITAM, added how important it is to resume investments in technology so that the Brazilian industry, which now accounts for 9% of GDP, goes back to the 23% level that it has had in the past. “There is no developed country in the world without a strong industry.”<\/p>\n

Erhard Wienkamp, Director of Messe D\u00fcsseldorf, promoter of Wire South America, along with Tarcom Promo\u00e7\u00f5es and organized by Cipa Fiera Milano, praised Brazil\u2019s potential for development of industrial activity, adding that the second staging in South America of the world\u2019s leading event specializing in cables and wires, is a sign of trust in the Brazilian market. Reinforcing and making clear its interest in Brazil, the director of ITA-Italian Trade Agency, Federico Balmas, close to Italy\u2019s vice-consul in S\u00e3o Paulo Francesca Maria Orsini, and the president of ITALCAM, Edoardo Pollastri, mentioned that the agency brought 12 Italian companies for this trade show. In addition to the Italian Pavilion, Wire South America featured other important group participation as the German Pavilion, with 22 companies, and the USA\u2019s.<\/p>\n

New business opportunities in an area of 32,000 m2
\n<\/strong>The trade shows counted on important national and international players with exhibitors from 24 countries and three continents (16 from Europe, five from Asia, and three from South\/North America). As for the profile, in 2015, Tubotech\u2019s most representative segments were pipes (51%), machines and equipment (14%), and assorted services and projects (13%).<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>Held on the 7th and 8th of October, the 4th edition of Techshow offered a series of technical lectures delivered by the exhibitors, whose goal was to promote exchange of experiences and professional updating. Over two days, Techshow provided the audience with an environment of technical knowledge and allowed exhibitors to introduce their products, services and uses. Matchmaking & Business Meetings Apart from the display of products and services, launches, new technologies and lectures, the Tubotech invested in the creation of new tools such as the Matchmaking and the Business Meetings. Based on the exhibitors\u2019 profile and identified synergies, meetings with potential buyers were scheduled in advance, which resulted in great business potential for the following months. Clearly a successful action, business meetings took place over the three days, in parallel to the fair.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
